Since 1924, Phyllis Wheatley Community Center has been an integral part of North Minneapolis, initially established as a settlement house to serve the growing African American population. Our century-long dedication to creating equity where there is none and bringing hope to those without reason to have it has been unwavering. As an African American serving community center, we celebrate diversity, empower individuals, and ensure that every voice is heard.
