Family leaders are supported to obtain the skills and resources necessary to build their own support networks and meet their family stability goals in Phyllis Wheatley Community Center's Family Services programs.
Family strengthening programs build upon participants' personal strengths by providing intensive, nonjudgmental support and assistance in developing life skills such as goal setting, planning, communication skills, and healthy relationships, parenting choices, financial management, problem solving and decision making. Activities help participants learn to resolve conflicts without violence, increase financial literacy and strengthen parenting and family leadership skills. Participants identify and build their own networks of support and are connected with appropriate community resources.
The Wayne Hunter Stronger Together Men's Program
