All children have a right to quality
pre-school child development
According to the Abecedarian Project Project's research documents, High Scope Perry Pre-school and others, investment in early child development supports a child's success in school and provides a foundation for success in adult life.
Mary T. Wellcome Child Development Center (MTW), established in 1929, is the oldest continuously operating child development center in Minnesota. MTW is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and has achieved the highest Four Star rating by Parent Aware.
MTW teachers use a research based curriculum; offering a variety of learning experiences that foster children's physical, cognitive, social and emotional development, within a nurturing and caring environment. Over the past five years, 98% of MTWs graduates have tested fully prepared for kindergarten using standard assessments. Some of our evaluation methods include: curriculum assessments, individual growth and development indicator assessments, and teacher observation.
