Mary T. Wellcome Child Development Center established in 1929 is the oldest, continuously operating child development center in Minnesota. Mary T. Wellcome Child Development Center is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children and achieved the highest Four Star rating by Parent Aware.
MTW teachers use a research based curriculum; offering a variety of learning experiences to foster children's physical, cognitive, social and emotional development, within a nurturing and caring environment. 98% of MTW graduates have tested fully prepared for Kindergarten using standard assessments over the past five years. Evaluation methods include: curriculum assessments, Individual Growth and Development Indicator assessments, Parent -Teacher Conference records, Teacher observation, Test Scores, Referral records, Parent feedback and Minneapolis Pre-school and Public Schools information.
